<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication terminal such as a cellular phone having a short range radio communication means of a Bluetooth specification or the like, and capable of comprehensively reducing power consumption according to changes in a cell and changes in an out of service area status. <P>SOLUTION: When a radio communication terminal 10 is connected by radio to a headset 30 while the radio communication terminal 10 is in a waiting state to a radio base station 20, a control unit 13 checks setting of an intermittent reception interval for an incoming call information transmitted from the radio base station 20. The value of the intermittent reception interval is referred to A. An interval for intermittent transmission with the headset 30 is set to A, and intermittent reception operation of the incoming call information synchronizes with intermittent transmission operation of the headset 30. In addition, when the intermittent reception interval for the incoming call information from the radio base station 20 changes; setting of the intermittent reception interval is checked, and a value of the intermittent reception interval is newly acquired.
