摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a stator which industrially and inexpensively manufacture the spirally wound stator. SOLUTION: A jig 20 is used and has a first holding groove group 23a, and a second holding groove group 23b on an outer circumference. The first holding groove group 23a has a pitch as an integer multiple of a pitch between slots 12 in a stator core 10. The second holding groove group 23b has the same pitch as the first holding groove group 23a, and has the same number as the first holding groove group 23a. One side Ca of a plurality of coils C previously wound is inserted into the first holding groove group 23a. The other side Cb is inserted into the second holding groove group 23b. The jig is inserted to the inner circumference of the stator core. The first holding groove group 23a of the jig is matched with slots of the stator core. One side of the coil is inserted to the corresponding slot of the stator core by a pushing means. After the second holding groove group is positioned so as to be matched with the corresponding slot of the stator core, the other side is inserted to the corresponding slot by the pushing means 30.
