PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for air conditioner and an air conditioner in which an air filter can be used over a long period of time without being clogged by ensuring the cleaning of the air filter and preventing the accumulation of dust to a cleaning part. SOLUTION: The air conditioner having the dust removing air filter 3 disposed in an air passage connecting a suction port 2 to an outlet port 38 comprises a rotary rotor 6 as a means for cleaning the air filter 3. The rotary rotor 6 includes a rotor 7, a cleaning body 8, and a dust pushing body 10 forming a looped part 9 to cover the cleaning body 8. By this structure, the cleaning body 8 can surely scrape the dust adhered to the surface of the air filter 3 by the rotation of the rotary rotor 6, and the intrusion and adhesion of dust to the rotary rotor 6 itself can be prevented by the dust pushing body 10.
