PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut easy to fasten to or remove from a bolt. SOLUTION: The nut 1 comprises a body 10 having a holding part 20 on which a temporarily engaging portion 23 and a finally engaging portion 24 are formed, a female screw part 81, and a retainer 80 having an engaging leg portion 85 on which an engaging piece 83 is provided. In the state of temporarily locking the retainer 80 with the engaging piece 83 of the retainer 80 engaging with the temporarily engaging portion 23 of the body 10, the nut is easy to insert into or remove from the bolt B and the nut 1 is put into the condition of being threaded to the bolt B by the engagement of the engaging piece 83 with the finally engaging portion 24 of the body 10.
