PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine in which an abnormal operation is not started even when an element defect or disconnection or the like occurs in the detection part of a proximity switch or the like. SOLUTION: The pinball game machine is provided with a detection switch circuit DET to output detection signals whose output level is changed from an L level to an H level when a game ball passes through a pattern start port 15 and is returned to the L level thereafter, and shifts to a game operation advantageous to a player on the basis of drawing processing due to the change of the detection signals. The pinball game machine comprises: an initial processing means (ST5_A) for storing the detection signals of a second level in a signal storage part in initial processing after power supply until reaching regular processing; an acquisition means (ST53) for acquiring the detection signals from the detection circuit at every prescribed interval of time in the regular processing thereafter; and regular processing means (ST56-59) for comparing the acquired detection signals with the stored value of a LEVEL address, deciding the presence/absence of the change of the detection signals and storing the detection signals acquired this time in the LEVEl address again.
