<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of use for outstandingly increasing an amount of the NO<SB>x</SB>adsorption of an ordinary temperature NO<SB>x</SB>adsorbent for adsorbing NO<SB>x</SB>at an ordinary temperature around room temperature. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of use, a treatment gas containing NO and CO is brought into contact with the ordinary temperature NO<SB>x</SB>adsorbent comprising a carrier including a specific oxide comprising an oxide of at least one element selected from Co, Fe, Cu, Ce and Mn; and a carried metal being at least one kind of metal selected from Cu, Co, Ag and Pd, different from the metal element of the carrier and carried on the specific oxide. It is considered that the adsorption site of NO<SB>x</SB>is increased by co-adsorption of CO, but the amount of NO<SB>x</SB>absorbed is outstandingly increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
