PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate correction data required for a PET portion of a scanner, based on the clinically optimum CT data available from a CT portion of the scanner.
SOLUTION: A plurality of computed tomographic photographic (CT) image data is generated to select one part of the CT data. The selected CT data is processed to generate a plurality of attenuation correction (CTAC) factor in proper energy of an emission data (106), and the CTAC factor is weighted with a weight determined based on an axial direction position and a slice thickness of the CT data, and an axial direction position and a slice thickness of the PET data or SPECT data, in order to form an emission attenuation correction map (108). The correction data is generated using the formed attenuation correction map (110), in order to form an attenuation-corrected PET image.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
|
