PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay, capable of preventing generation of operational disorder caused by a sealing agent scattered at sealing process, adhering to the contact part of an armature and of a core. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay is composed of an electromagnet 1; a yoke 2 of which one end is fixed to one end face of a core 8 and the other end is an open-end facing a free-end face of the core 8; a movable contact spring 5a, having a movable contact 5b, an armature 3 of which central part contacts the open end of the yoke 2, and one end part contacts the open end of the core 8 and the other end part, contacts a movable contact spring 5a, when the core 8 is excited; a restoring spring 14 abutting against the center part of the armature 3 at a release end position of the yoke 2; and a fixed contact spring 5 holding a fixed contact, made to contact the movable contact 5b by the pressure of the movable contact spring. A shielding plate 14a is arranged integrally on the restoring spring 14 so as to be located between a housing fitting part and a contact part of the armature 3 and the core 8, and is fixed to a housing (A) 11a and a housing (B) 11b.
