摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for adjusting the internal pressure of a vessel, capable of solving by using a simple arrangement the problems of air pollution, steam energy losses, changes in the concentration of a heat medium, oxidation deterioration of the heat medium and the like, all of which could occur, if the heat medium A contained in an open type heating vessel or expansion vessel is brought into direct contact with the atmosphere, as the pressure within the vessel varies. SOLUTION: Two back-pressure-type exhaust valves 1 are mounted on a ventilation pipe 12 that extends from the upper vessel wall of a heat medium vessel 10, so that the inside of the vessel can communicate with the ambient atmosphere via the back-pressure-type exhaust valves 1. The back-pressure-type exhaust valve 1 comprises a cylindrical valve element 2, a spherical valve lid 3 capable of reciprocating within the valve element 2, and a pair of valve seats 4, 5 located on both sides along the direction of movement of the valve lid 3, while having respective openings 4a, 5a that are smaller in diameter than that of the valve lid 3. With each of the two back-pressure-type exhaust valves 1 being in a state of being mounted, the longitudinal direction of the valve element 2 has a vertical-direction component, and a discharge valve seat 5 located below a first back-pressure-type exhaust valve 1a and another discharge valve seat 5, located above the second back-pressure-type exhaust valve 1b, communicate with the ventilation pipe 12.
