PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbocharger power generating apparatus hardly affected by heat from a turbine and having excellent assemblability and maintainability. SOLUTION: This turbocharger power generating apparatus comprises the turbine 4 driven by the exhaust gas energy of an internal combustion engine 1 and a compressor 3 driven by the turbine. A rotating electric machine 5 capable of performing power generation or motor operation is installed at the shaft end of the compressor. Consequently, the cooling performance of the rotating electric machine, the assemblability, and the maintainability can be enhanced, and surplus exhaust gas energy can be utilized without losing.
