The holding device (1) has at least one tension strip (2). The ends of the tension strips can be fixed to a holding element (3, 3'). Each holding element has a roughly oval base body with a guide aperture for the tension strips, and a fixing region for fixing the strip. A door suitable for having such a holding device fitted to it is also described.
