<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator reduced in wind noise during the traveling of a car. <P>SOLUTION: A vertically extending hoistway 2 is provided in a building 1. A car 6 is arranged in the hoistway 2 and lifted and lowered in the hoistway 2. An air duct 10 is juxtaposed to the hoistway 2 in the building 1, and both upper and lower ends of the air duct 10 are made to communicate with the hoistway 2, respectively. In the middle of the air duct 10, a fan 11 is provided. A control board 12 controls the fan 11, so that the traveling direction of the car 6 becomes equal to the air flow direction in the hoistway 2 when the car 6 is lifted and lowered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
