PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a stepping motor is noisy at seek time since it makes a noise in the drive pulse frequencies because it is driven by pulse shapes when pulse driving in a pulse excitation drive method exciting 1 phase, 2 phases, or 1-2 phases. SOLUTION: The pulse excitation drive waveform generated by a controller 10 to drive a stepping motor is changed to a silent waveform through a filter 7, and the noise is reduced when driving a stepping motor.
