PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal capable of appropriately connecting either a cord of which the covering member at the top end part is peeled off, or of which the covering member is not peeled off, without having to especially work on. SOLUTION: The terminal 10b has a base stand 11, a pressing plate 12, and a pressing member 13 pressing the pressing plate 12 against the base stand 11, and crimps a cord 50b on the base stand 11 by means of the pressing plate 12, pressed against the base stand 11 by the pressing member 13. The base stand 11 has a notched part 14, formed at a prescribed part on a crimping face 11a of the cord 50b so as to extend in a prescribed direction, and a blade piece electrode part 15, cutting the cover member of the cord 50 when the cord 50b is housed, is formed on the notched part 14.
