PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top emission type electroluminescent device having high display performance, and an electronic apparatus equipped with this electroluminescent device. SOLUTION: This electroluminescent device is equipped with a first electrode 23 provided on a substrate 20A, a light emitting functional layer 110 provided on the first electrode 23, and a second electrode 50 provided on the light emitting functional layer 110, and is formed by having the light emitting functional layer 110 in each of a plurality of pixel regions X partitioned by barrier plates 22 provided in the substrate 20. A reflective layer 25 which reflects light emitted in the light emitting functional layer 110 is provided on the inside surface facing the inside of the pixel region X of the barrier plate 22.
