PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the propriety of refrigerant quantity within a refrigerant circuit while reducing the labor for inputting information for refrigerant connecting pipes prior to operation of a separate type air conditioning system. SOLUTION: The refrigerant circuit 10 of the air conditioning system 1 is constituted by connecting a heat source unit 2 to using units 4 and 5 through refrigerant connecting pipes 6 and 7. An operation control means controls constituting equipment to reach a first state where the density of refrigerant carried in the pipes 6 and 7 is constant, and then controls the constituting equipment so that the first state is changed to a second state where the density of refrigerant is constant at a density value different from that in the first state. A pipe capacity computing means computes capacities of the pipes 6 and 7 by computing the increase/decrease quantity of refrigerant in the part other than the pipes 6 and 7 of the refrigerant circuit 10 between the first and second states from operation state quantities in the first and second states, and dividing the increase/decrease quantity of refrigerant by density change quantities of refrigerant in the pipes 6 and 7 between the first and second states.
