PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thinning scissors to cut hair only with the front comb teeth. SOLUTION: The thinning scissors 60 has comb teeth at least on one of the two blades of the scissors which are pivotally and rotatably attached at the position where the blades cross with each other. The come teeth 31 is comprised of the front cutting part 32 and the rear non-cutting part 35, and on the edge of the comb teeth 31 of the cutting part 32 a catching part 33 to catch hair is formed. The tip of the comb teeth 31 of the non-cutting part 35 forms a guiding part 36 to guide hair between the come teeth 31 without catching the hair. The width W<SB>2</SB>between the come teeth 31 of the non-cutting part 35 may be formed wider than the width W<SB>1</SB>between the comb teeth 31 of the cutting member 32. The guiding part 36 may be formed in an inclined surface from the rear toward the front of the guiding part 36.
