PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATS-S type on-vehicle device which is not influenced by outside noise, nor influenced by ATS-P type on-vehicle device, and also to provide an ATS pick up coil installed on a train by integrating the ATS-P type on-vehicle device and the pick up coil. SOLUTION: Two components of a synchronous detection wherein a received signal input from the ATS-S type pick up coil 2 and a transmitted signal are synchronized and an orthogonal detection wherein phases of the inputted received signal and the transmitted signal are shifted by 90 degrees are used in order to detect a wayside coil, and thereby, influence of the noise from the outside or electric power waves and information power waves used for the ATS-P type on-vehicle device is drastically reduced, and this device deals with the case when the phase of the received signal is shifted by difference of a frequency of the wayside coil and Q value.
