PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular braking device capable of reducing the amount of heat generated in a motor for driving a pump for accumulating the accumulator pressure when an abnormality of a brake system occurs. SOLUTION: An accumulator 50 accumulates a brake oil to be discharged from an oil pump 34 driven by a motor 32. The accumulated brake oil is fed to a wheel cylinder 20 according to the step-in of a brake pedal 12 to generate the braking force to a wheel. An abnormality detection unit detects any abnormality occurring in a vehicular braking device 100. A heat generation suppression unit intermittently drives the motor 32 so as to suppress heat generation of the motor 32 when any abnormality is detected. A pressure increase determination unit determines presence/absence of a request for pressure increase to the wheel cylinder. The heat generation suppression unit drives the motor 32 when the pressure increase is requested to the wheel cylinder, or stops the motor 32 otherwise. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
