PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can avoid the ink adhesion to a recording paper-carrying belt in such a manner that the rear end position or the recordable region of a recording paper is sensed with a high precision by using an inexpensive sensor or a controlling system, and an image recording is performed in the recordable region. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording device is equipped with a sensor 57 which is a means for sensing the rear end position of the recording paper, and a control section 40 which is a means for forming the layout of an image to be recorded or the like. Also, the control section 40 performs the decision of the rear end position based on the sensor sensing result and layout information, and the calculation of the recordable region, and performs a control for not recording the image in regions other than the recordable region.
