A strippable cover (1) for adhesive coatings (80) on adherent products (AP), with surface(s) (2) which can be applied to an adhesive layer (80) and with raised structure(s) (10) which can be pressed into the adhesive layer (80) to form corresponding imprinted structure(s) (10'), in which (10') is in the form of an open channel structure (11, 12) with a channel depth of not more than 4 microns. Independent claims are included for (1) AP with an adhesive layer which is or was covered with a strippable cover (1) and has a surface imprinted with a complementary embossed structure (2) a method (M1) for the production of (1) by providing a metal sheet with a 3-dimensional raised structure with a height of not more than 4 (preferably not more than 3) microns measured from the surface of the cover immediately adjacent to the structure (3) a method (M2) for reducing the risk of gaseous or liquid inclusions (especially air bubbles) when sticking AP onto a substrate, by (a) making a cover (1) as above, (b) placing the cover on an adhesive surface of the AP so that its raised structure is pressed into the AP to form a channel structure as above, (c) stripping off the cover leaving a complementary structure in the adhesive and (d) sticking the embossed product onto a substrate (4) a method (M3) for reducing inclusions as above, by (a) making a cover (1), (b) applying a liquid adhesive to the raised structure, (c) solidifying the adhesive to form a complementary channel structure, (d) stripping off the cover and (e) sticking the product onto a substrate (5) a method (M4) for the production of an adhesive product by (a) making a cover (1) and (b) placing the cover on an adhesive surface of an adhesive product so that the raised structures on (1) are pressed into the surface (6) a method (M5) for the production of an adhesive product by (a) making (1), (b) applying liquid adhesive and (c) solidifying the adhesive to form an adhesive layer with an imprinted channel structure (7) a method (M6) for the production of an adhesive product by (a) making an adhesive layer with a cover (1) on it and (b) forming a raised structure on the side of the cover facing the adhesive so as to form a complementary channel structure in the adhesive layer .
