The method involves producing an input word (18) and/or a word component (16) by an input device (12) of a mobile terminal (10). The word and/or word component are stored for a later application in a word database that is discarded in a memory device of the mobile terminal. The word and/or word component produced by the input device is automatically stored by activating a certain memory key during an inputting procedure. The word and/or word component is stored in an area from a position of input initiation. An independent claim is also included for a mobile terminal with a display device.
