COMPACT SELF-BALLASTED FLUORESCENT LAMP, AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp capable of efficiently emitting radiant light, and of reducing temperature rise, and having a light emitting diode; and to provide a luminaire with the compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp mounted therein.

SOLUTION: This compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp 1 includes: a fluorescent lamp 2 having a curved bulb 8; a base body 3 having a base 16 with the fluorescent lamp 2 arranged therein; a light emitting diode 4 arranged to position a tip part 4a on the outer side relative to a cross-sectional center C of parts 6a1, 6b1 and 6c1 of the bulb 8 most projecting from the base body 3; and a lighting circuit 5 housed in the base body 3 and capable of respectively individually lighting the fluorescent lamp 2 and the light emitting diode 4.
