<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow direct installation of a card reader/writer to electronic equipment, and to allow changes and reading of a memory card and moreover, whenever necessary. <P>SOLUTION: This card reader/writer 1 has a card side connector 50 comprising a card side shield part 24 covering the front end part of a circuit board 10 provided with contacts 30 and the periphery of the front end part of the circuit board 10, and capable of being installed with the memory card 2 in a card side opening 21; and a USB-side connector 70, comprising a USB-side shielding part 25 covering the rear-end part of the circuit board 10 formed with signal lines 18 and the periphery of the rear-end part of the circuit board 10, and capable of being installed with the electronic equipment at a USB side opening 22. The card-side shielding part 24 and the USB-side shielding part 25 comprise a tubular cover member 20, formed integrally into a nearly rectangular parallelepiped state, such that the cover member 20 covers the circuit board 10 from the front-end side to the rear-end side of the circuit board 10, and the right and left width of the cover member 20 is nearly equal to the right and left width of the USB connector 70, extending from the rear-end side to the front-end side of the cover member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
