<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system capable of speedily detecting objects at end parts of a detection range. <P>SOLUTION: The radar system comprises a radar sensor for transmitting transmission waves to a prescribed angle range and receiving reflected waves reflected from objects and a processing part for determining the peaks of intensity on the basis of intensity distributions to the angles of received reflected waves and determining the directions of the objects on the basis of the peaks. The processing part detects reflected waves at end parts of the angle range and determines the presence or absence of objects in the directions of the end parts on the basis of the intensity distributions of detected reflected waves in the case that no peaks are detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
