PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a negative plate for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of suppressing coming off or cracks of a mix and to provide the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the negative plate made by the manufacturing method, having high charge discharge cycle characteristics.

SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery manufactured by sealing an electrode plate group constituted by stacking or winding a positive plate 1 and a negative plate 3 through a separator 5 in a battery case 8 together with a nonaqueous electrolyte, copper foil in which crystal grains are made to grow by heating treatment is used in the negative plate.
