<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely carry out battery-driven printing by making setting change of a printing operation lower limit voltage for estimation of a battery capacity by the kind and number of memory cards prior to printing in a battery-driven type image forming apparatus which can directly print from the memory card, and to determine an apparatus power source ON/OFF according to the kind of the memory card in a state with no battery residual capacity. <P>SOLUTION: A battery low battery threshold voltage is raised from a default setting amount by a certain fixed amount from the result of a memory connection detecting means for detecting connection of a single/plurality of the memory cards, and a large-current memory card detecting means for detecting the memory card of a large current-driven type. Whether the battery has a printable capacity is displayed accordingly. In the case of no battery residual capacity, the apparatus is turned OFF when the large-current memory card is connected, so that control to save power is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
