<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a homogeneous permanent magnet excelling in its magnet characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of the permanent magnet includes a process for so preparing an R-T-B-based alloy as to hold it at a temperature not lower than 900°C and not higher than 1,100°C during a time not shorter than one hour, a hydrogen processing process for so occluding hydrogen in the R-T-B-based alloy as to make it friable, a pulverizing process for so pulverizing the R-T-B-based alloy made friable as to form a powder having a mean grain size not smaller than 10 μm and not larger than 100 μm, and a plasma-metal-spraying process for so subjecting the powder to metal spraying as to form a film-form permanent magnet having an Nd<SB>2</SB>Fe<SB>14</SB>B compound as its main phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
