<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support mechanism of an operation display panel containing holding power so sufficient that the operation display panel may not be inclined with respect to a user's operation at any angle, and an image forming apparatus with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The operation display panel 5 is arranged between supporting parts 15 and 16, and supported by hinge members 18 and 19 arranged inside the supporting parts. The hinge members are equipped with free stop mechanisms so as to stop and hold the operation display panel 5 at arbitrary positions by adjusting an angle thereof. Locking bodies 26 and 27 fixed on tip ends of arm members 30 and 31 are pressed and contacted with locking members 22 and 23 by tension force of tension springs 32 and 33 so that the operation display panel 5 may be securely held. By pressing an operation lever 28 provided on a lower surface of the operation display panel 5, an operation disc 29 is revolved to drag an arm member, and the locking members are separated from the locking bodies, allowing the operation display panel 5 to be in an adjustable status. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
