PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel cosmetic which has high viscosity, little gives slimy touch or slippery touch, when used, and gives an excellent sense of use. SOLUTION: This gel-like cosmetic comprises (A) a cationic group-containing copolymer obtained by radically polymerizing a cationic vinyl monomer, a hydrophilic nonionic group-containing vinyl monomer selected from N,N-dimethyl (meth)acrylamide and N,N-diethyl (meth)acrylamide, and a cross-linkable vinyl monomer having at least two vinyl groups in the molecule as essential constituting monomers, (B) silica, and water in a component (A) : (B) mass ratio of 10:1 to 1:10, and has viscosity of 3,000 to 20,000 mPa s at 25°C.
