PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refuse collecting vehicle for providing smooth refuse collecting work by reducing labor required for refuse input work particularly into a storage chamber of an upper layer, in a compressive horizontal two-layer type refuse collecting vehicle. SOLUTION: This refuse collecting vehicle is arranged by continuously connecting a refuse input box 5 having corresponding lower layer input chamber 22 and upper layer input chamber 22 in the rear of a refuse storage box 3 partitioned into a lower layer storage chamber 11 and an upper layer storage chamber 21; and has a lower layer refuse loading device 13 and an upper layer refuse loading device 23 for loading refuse, respectively, inputted in a lower layer input chamber 12 and an upper layer input chamber 22 in the corresponding lower layer storage chamber 11 and upper layer storage chamber 21. A lower layer rotary shaft 16 supporting a lower layer rotary plate 17 of the lower layer refuse loading device 13 and a lower layer rotary shaft 17 supporting a lower layer rotary plate 28 of the upper layer refuse loading device 23 are set in the substantially same heights as the floor surface of the lower layer storage chamber 11.
