PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neck part joint mechanism of a robot capable of increasing rotation flexibility of a pitch direction and suppressing the cost, and the robot provided with the mechanism. SOLUTION: This mechanism is provided with a neck part base member 3, a first rotary shaft 4 provided at a front end side of the neck part base member 3 to be rotatable in the pitch direction, a first connecting member 5 connected to the first rotary shaft 4 to be rotated in the pitch direction by the rotation of the first rotary shaft 4, a second rotary shaft S2 provided on a distal end side of the first connecting member 5, a second connecting member 6 having a rear end side rotatably connected to the second rotary shaft S2 and provided with a head part 11 of the robot, and a third connecting member 9 rotatably connected to each of a front end side of the second connecting member 6 and a rear end side of the neck part base member 3.
