The circuit arrangement is designed in such a manner that a possible malfunction e.g. latch-up condition, is detectable with integrated circuits (B1, BN) on the basis of defined current drain, when the integrated circuits are supplied with clock signals and are provided in a reset condition. The current drain is measured on the basis of a signal condition at a measuring resistor (R1, R2), where a voltage value of the measuring resistor is determined. An independent claim is also included for a method for initiating a hardware module.
