<p>Disclosed are methods for diagnosing cancer in a cell sample by detecting an increase in the levels of expression of marker genes in the cell sample as compared to the levels of expression of the same marker genes in a normal, nonneoplastic cell of the same tissue type. Also disclosed is a focused microarray device for diagnosis of cancer in a cell sample.</p>
