An air cleaner for a hood is provided to improve blowing efficiency of a blower by smoothly supplying air introduced to an inlet of the hood moving to both ends of the blower. An air cleaner for a hood includes a hood(10), a blower(11), a guide rest(50), and a purifier(30). The guide rest is formed on the hood and induces air sucked through both ends of the blower of the hood. The hood is installed on an upper part of a cooking appliance for more easily sucking gas or vapor generated by operations of the cooking appliances. An area of a lower section which suctions the gas and vapor is larger than other parts of the hood. The purifier is installed on an inlet(20) of the hood for removing foreign substance in the air sucked into the inlet.
