<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve restricting property to an occupant's knee part with a knee airbag body by expanding the knee airbag body and an airbag body at the appropriate positions respectively without depending on the shape of an instrument panel. <P>SOLUTION: When the knee airbag body 26 is expanded to restrict the knee part 24 of the occupant 14, a part of the airbag body 38 corresponding to the upper body of the occupant 14 is expanded so as to support the knee airbag body 26 from the front side. Even if there is a step part 34A which does not abut to the shape of the knee airbag body 26 in the shape of the instrument panel 34, the part can be compensated by the airbag body 28. Therefore, the knee airbag body 26 can be expanded to the position suitable for restricting the knee part 24 of the occupant, the knee airbag body 26 appropriately generates the reaction force to the knee part 24 when restricting the knee part 24 of the occupant, and the restricting property to the knee part 24 of the occupant 14 by the knee airbag body 26 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
