PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which decreases the frequency of replacement of a used tank even in the case of a multicolor printer or in the case where one printer such as a network printer is used in the state of being shared by a plurality of users. SOLUTION: Respective ink colors are separated into a plurality of groups in terms of each remaining quantity of ink. The recording apparatus decreases the frequency of the replacement of an ink tank by uniformalizing the timing when the ink in the ink tank for each group is completely consumed.
