PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out indication at a position where a user can easily see by obviating the need of electric wires that may possibly degrade the user's visibility or operability in a construction that a notice in relation to a condition of an ink tank such as a residual quantity of ink is provided by a light emitting section such as an LED. SOLUTION: The light emitting section (101) is separated from an indicator section (122) for indicating information by projecting a light, and a light guide section (121) for optically coupling them to each other is provided to this liquid container. As a result, it is unnecessary to provide electric wires on the ink tank and it is possible to place the light source and the indicator section to optimum positions, respectively, and then it is possible to secure freedom of placing the indicator section at a position where a user has good visibility.
