PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistance for preventing a character string intended to be displayed in succession in an E-mail text from being displayed in segmentation. SOLUTION: A storage part 105 stores a text of the E-mail received by a CDMA communication part 101 and a list 200 where emoticons are associated with pictographs to be used in the text of E-mail. A judgement part 109a of an E-mail display control unit 109 judges whether or not a character string beginning at the N-th character in the text coincides with any of the emoticons.
