PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke device which does not reproduce the same background image even when music in the same genre is repeatedly reproduced. SOLUTION: The karaoke device stores corresponding general video data for genres of music data. Each general video data has about 15 minutes of play time and is cyclically read out while a karaoke performance is repeated a plurality of times. Namely, an end position when a karaoke performance using each video data is carried out is stored and when a karaoke performance is carried out next time by using the video data, reading is started at the end position.
