PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam mechanism which removes a play between a cam pin and a cam groove without increasing the number of component items and without enlarging the cam mechanism, causes no plastic deformation of the cam pin and the cam groove even in the occurrence of an unnatural force which moves the cam pin in a breadthwise direction of the cam groove, and operates thereafter. SOLUTION: The cam mechanism is characterized in that: one side face of a cam groove 118 of one member 111 is constituted of an elastically deforming piece 117 which is elastically deformed in a breadthwise direction of the cam groove; and a cam pin 129 projectingly provided on the other member is elastically held between the elastically deforming piece and the other side face of the cam groove.
