<p>A media gateway and a NGN communication system, wherein, the media gateway connects the user side PBX device and NGN, including: at least a remote module set in the user side PBX device for converting the format of the media flow and signaling flow; a centre module set in the NGN side which connects with said remote module for transmitting the IP-format media flow and signaling flow between the remote module and the NGN according to control signals from the MGC. The present invention gathers the remote modules by the centre module, and the MGC just needs to control only one media gateway but not each gateway of each PBX station, so the demand of the MGC performance is decreased effectively; and the function of the remote modules are simplified and easy to manage, the malfunction occur rate maybe reduce, and the rehabilitation is simple as alternate a module, effectually decreases the cost of management.</p> |
