A water-based one-pack-type coating composition which can form a coating film combining soft feeling with film performance and having a satisfactory touch and retains general performances required of coating materials, such as attractive appearance (matt feeling, etc.), adhesion, film strength, marring resistance, water resistance, unsusceptibility to fat fouling, and alkali resistance. The water-based one-pack-type coating composition comprises an ionomer resin emulsion (A), a polyolefin resin emulsion (B), resin particles (C), and a urethane dispersion (D), wherein the solid mass ratio (mass ratio on a solid basis) of (C)/{(A)+(B)+(D is from 40/100 to 100/100, the solid mass ratio of (A)/(B) is from 1/3 to 3/1, and the solid mass ratio of ((A)+(B))/(D) is from 40/60 to 70/30.
