<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of making an image processing unit in common even when image forming units differ from each other, thereby reducing its cost, and to provide an image processing apparatus configuring the image forming apparatus, and an image forming system provided with the image processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 30 acquires model information of an image read unit and the image forming unit through a communication unit 41 when the operation of power-ON is made, discriminates whether or not the acquired model information is coincident with model information stored in a storage unit 35, and stores the acquired model information to an EEPROM 31 when the discrimination indicates coincidence. The CPU 30 outputs a control signal for setting an input rate and an output rate depending on the model information stored in the EEPROM 31 to a synchronization unit 40. The synchronization unit 40 outputs a clock signal with a frequency corresponding to the input rate and the output rate on the basis of the control signal and outputs the clock signal to an input interface unit 38 and an output interface unit 39. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
