<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system in which the usability of a screen and security are improved and information communication traffic is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the printing system comprising a printer and a portable terminal, the portable terminal is provided with a mechanism for reading information of the portable terminal side and generating an operation screen generation script with a state of the printer side embedded therein by the printer at the same time, and environment for executing the script.
