<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part transfer apparatus and surface mount apparatus wherein parts accommodated in a tray can be quickly extracted for transferring. <P>SOLUTION: A mount apparatus chucks a part from a tray T of a tray feeder by a head unit equipped with a mounting head 20 liftable, and transfers it to a board for mounting. The tray feeder has a drawing mechanism for drawing the tray T from a tray accommodating box, and an input/output device comprising a lift mechanism for lifting the drawing mechanism; and arranges the tray T to a predetermined reference height location. The mount apparatus has a controller for supervising and controlling a mount operation, and the controller lifts up the mounting head 20 from the tray T after a part is chucked, while the controller is driven to control the input/output device to lift down the tray T in parallel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
