PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system capable of making compatible both the multiple channels of sound signal and improvement in the transmission efficiency of control signal. SOLUTION: The transmission system can improve the transmission efficiency of a control signal, since only a control signal by a CSMA system is transmitted, when no terminal units 1 is transmitting sound signals. When either terminal unit 1 transmits a sound signal in a TDMA system; a beacon signal generator 17 in the terminal unit 1 transmits beacon signals B1, B2, and since a sound signal transmission period (TDMA section) and a control signal transmission period (CSMA section) are switched alternately, the sound signal transmission period is extended relatively and multiple channels of sound signal is realized.
