PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method which provide additional information to a user without losing an image of an original. SOLUTION: The image processor is characterized in that it includes: a generating means for generating an image pattern expressed in a form corresponding to code data for expressing an optional character string; and a composite means for composing an output image with the image pattern generated by the generating means.
