SOLUTION: Molecules of aligning compounds 46 included in a sealing material 42 are aligned in a normal direction on a substrate surface, and since the molecules of the aligning compounds constitute crystal parts 47, the movement of water is obstructed by the crystal parts 47. Therefore, water molecules are moved in the sealing material 42 so as to avoid the crystal parts 47 and a movement distance until water molecules reach the inside of the liquid crystal device 100 can be lengthened.
