PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic diamine/aromatic dicarboxylic acid salt monomer which is used in the production of polybenzazole capable of being molded into fibers and films having high strength, high modulus of elasticity, and high heat resistance and has high polymerizability and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The aromatic diamine/aromatic dicarboxylic acid salt is characterized in that it is represented by formula (1) and/or formula (2), and it has a median diameter of 5 to 100μm and a degree of whiteness≥75.
